Raya Trip to the East Coast (1st to 4th October 2008)

Hola, it's the public holiday again! Since we both had about 5 days off, Joe and me decided to head to the East Coast during the recent Hari Raya to visit dad-in-law at his plantation estate. As we anticipated the drive down to Terengganu to be about 7 to 8 hours, we left the house at 4.30am (with me barely awake!). The drive down was quite smooth but I can't say the same for the opposite traffic coming up North, as the highway was full of cars going back for Raya at their respective 'kampungs'......

We got lost when we reached Kuantan, courtesy of dad-in-law's haphazard direction given.... haha.......... but we somehow managed to reach our destination finally.... albeit delayed by an hour! Oh boy, we were all so tired and hungry by then..... dropped our bags and headed straight to the nearest town Kemaman, half an hour's drive away. We hopped into the restaurant with the least people just to get our stomachs stuffed.... and it was a bad decision as the food was so-so only. Couldn't show any pics on the meal as we forgot to bring our camera out in our haste to look for food!

We retreated back to the estate after the meal to freshen up and get some sleep. It was a much needed sleep and we felt really fresher after that. After waking up, Joe and I decided to bring little Ken (our cheeky nephew) to tour around the estate and to see the dragon fruit farm. Pictures speaks louder than words.... here goes........

The Legendary 3 Stooges..... Joe, Ken and me!

More to come on the subsequent days adventure to Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan, Pahang. Stay tuned.........

Ferringghi Garden

This is an old post but I find that the place is worth introducing. Set in a lush and serene environment with lots of greeneries and man-made waterfall, you will have a pleasant dining experience amidst its Balinese decor and friendly staffs. This lovely place is just after Park Royal Hotel and opposite Sunset Beach Cafe.

The food is good and the prices reasonable. I specifically love the Ferringghi Garden Speciality bread..... yummy....... thanks to my brother Jason for bringing us there. A place worth checking out!

Finally.... I'm In

Oh gosh.... never thought that I'd be caught in this blogging fever eventually..... but here I am. I guess the late night coffee does created wonder to the chemical in my brain...... and the inability to sleep amazingly churned out this blog of mine............

I'll leave this as it is for the time being until my next update. It is 4:31am in the wee hour of the morning and I am typing away as my 'adoring' hubby sleeps by my side...... better join him and catch some winks before it's time to go to work...... cheers!
